Our Wedding

Although we grew up just a few towns apart, we spent most of our childhoods on different paths. Still, our families knew each other, our worlds often overlapped, and life had a funny way of keeping us loosely connected—just not quite at the right time.Then came 2020.COVID brought both of us back to our childhood homes, back to the small-town spots. And suddenly, there we were—running into each other at local bars, catching up in passing, noticing each other in a way we never had before.Eventually, we finally went on our first date. From the moment we sat down to dinner, it was clear there was something special between us. Conversation came easily, the laughter was uncontrollable, and neither of us wanted the night to end. So, in true Nick fashion, he suggested we keep the night going with a trip to the casino—and, even better, gamble with his money. It made for a spontaneous, exciting night filled with fun, belly laughs, and plenty of wins.From there, our relationship grew naturally. What started as chance run-ins turned into something steady, exciting, and deeply meaningful. Over time, we both made our way to the city, and a year and a half later, we took the next step and moved in together in our West Loop apartment. It was there that we built a life together—filled with adventures, unforgettable memories, and the kind of everyday moments that strengthened our bond in all the best ways.As the years went on, our love story continued to grow. Together, we celebrated big milestones and eventually bought our first home together in the suburbs. Somewhere along the way, between all the sarcasm, fun, and chaos, we became each other’s favorite person.By then, it was never a question of if—only when. After all the moments that brought us together, all the laughter we shared, and all the memories we created side by side, saying yes to forever felt like the easiest and most beautiful next step.Looking back, it feels like life was always gently bringing us back to each other. And when the timing was finally right, everything fell into place. Now, we are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you as we begin the greatest adventure of all—our forever.

Our wedding block is at the Wit Hotel in Chicago. Please note that the Chicago Marathon takes place on Sunday, October 12, so many hotels may book up quickly. You are welcome to stay wherever is most convenient for you—there are many wonderful hotel options near the venue.
